How it works:
- Once you've decided on a subject (or subjects) for your drawing, have your reference photos ready. These can be either prints or digital files, but make sure they are large and very detailed (see image requirements).
- Choose a size from the pricing chart below. If you'd like a custom size just let us know and we'll get back to you with a quote.
- Contact us with your information and order request and we'll get in touch with you and discuss your specific requirements. We'll arrange to have you either mail your photo(s) or email them to us, then we'll then get to work asap!
- When the drawing is near completion, you'll receive an email containing an image of your drawing for your review, so any changes can be made if needed. Once you approve the work, we'll ship it to you right away! Free standard shipping within the continental USA!
How much will it cost?
The chart below reflects approximate pricing for a highly-detailed, custom pencil drawing of a moderately complex subject. Additional subjects (i.e., a portrait of two or more people, or a family portrait) or background details may require an additional charge.

A 50% deposit will be required to gets things started, and the balance will be due upon completion of the project. Texas residents will have to add 7.25% sales tax. We offer free standard shipping within the continental United States.
How long will it take?
Turnaround times can vary, as these drawings are very labor-intensive. Current schedule, subject complexity, number of subjects, background and size all affect the amount of time it will take so we recommend allowing four to six weeks. We will be able to give you a better idea at the time of your order.
What type of pictures can I use?
Very good question! For the level of detail needed for these drawings, reference photos need to be large and of good quality (i.e., able to see antennae, wires, panel seams on airplanes, wheel detail on a car). For portraits it is imperative to be able to see facial detail, epecially the eyes. Images in electronic format (.bmp, .jpg, .png, .tif, etc.) are easy to send but need to be very high-resolution. Not sure? You can always send them to us, and we'll be able to tell you if the image quality is sufficient for a drawing.
Photographs can be mailed, but we recommend having a treasured photo reproduced first as damage can occur in shipping, etc. We can also scan old film negatives for a nominal fee if no prints are available. We will take the best of care of printed or negative material and will return the material to you with your completed artwork, though we cannot be held liable for any damages to, or loss of your material.
Reference photos MUST be YOUR original property, drawings done using professional photos as reference cannot be done without specific written consent from the photographer. Also the subject matter must not be protected material in any way (i.e., a celebrity, an airplane at an airshow) unless specific written consent is given by the controlling authorities.
Use your best judgement— it's best to take your own pictures, or ask permission from the photographer. Most photographers don't mind, some will want a fee.

How do I pay?
A 50% deposit is required to get started and the balance is due upon completion. We accept business and personal checks, and any credit card transactions are processed through PayPal via electronic payment request. We do not collect any credit card information from you.
